Sacred Fire : Embodied Storytelling Circles

Sacred Fire Embodied Storytelling gathers people in the spirit of the old fires—where bodies connected through the creative energy of the fire and stories moved freely. This is a creative fluid environment where stories may be voiced, danced, sounded or simply held through presence.

Before temples had walls, people gathered around fire. Bodies leaned close. Stories passed from mouth to ear, from gesture to breath, from silence into sound. Sacred Fire Embodied Storytelling is an offering that returns to this way of being together.

In this circle, stories are welcomed in many forms. Some are spoken aloud. Some emerge through movement, music, or presence. Some are still quiet—felt but not yet ready for words. There is no pressure to perform or explain. These stories could come from memory, imagination or yet untold. What wishes to be shared is trusted to find its own shape.

The body is not asked to be still or separate from the story. Participants are free to stretch, sway, rest, lie down, or engage in personal movement practices at any time, honoring the body as a living storyteller and witness. Embodiment is not directed or taught—it is remembered.

This gathering is a practice of communion rather than instruction. Through shared presence, creative expression, and embodied listening, we cultivate connection—to our own lived experience, to one another, and to the living spirit that moves through all things. Around the fire, we remember that to tell a story—whether spoken, moved, or silently held—is an act of belonging.
